Shelly Lesikar deZevallos is a business leader, pilot, and lifelong Houstonian who has dedicated her life to service, innovation, and advancing our shared America First values. From the skies of Texas to the halls of government, Shelly has fought to strengthen our economy, improve safety, and defend freedom.

Rooted in Houston, Driven to Serve

Shelly grew up in Houston, Texas, where her family has owned and operated West Houston Airport, a vital hub for general aviation and home to the region’s oldest continuous flight school. Today, as President of the airport, she leads with the same vision and commitment that her family instilled in her—faith, hard work, and service to the community.

A proud wife and mother of twin daughters, Shelly understands firsthand the importance of family and the responsibility we have to leave a stronger nation for the next generation.

Aviation Leader

With over 5,000 hours of flight experience and a commercial pilot’s license, She advocates for aviation safety and growth.

National Voice

She has testified before legislatures, advised policymakers, and was appointed to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safety Oversight and Certification Advisory Committee by Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao.

Conservative Leadership

Shelly serves on the boards of the National Business Aviation Association. Her track record of success led Governor Greg Abbott to appoint her to the Small Business Freedom Council, also known as the Texas DOGE, in addition to the Aerospace and Aviation Advisory Committee. In 2019, she was appointed to the United States Department of Transportation Safety Oversight and Certification Advisory Committee (SOCAC), where she advised the Trump administration on aviation safety and certification issues.

Community Service

A lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America, Shelly remains deeply committed to empowering future leaders. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council.

Standing Up for Texas Values

For more than 20 years, Shelly has been an active Republican leader—serving as a precinct chair, vice chair, and delegate at the precinct, senate, and state levels. In 2024, she was honored to serve as a National Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

She has consistently supported Republican candidates and causes, working tirelessly to elect leaders who stand for freedom, family, and faith.
